FantasyFacts was founded by people from the gaming scene in early 2001,
dissatisfied by the small scale and scope of the gaming 'clan' scene.
We set out to build something bigger, something closer to our hobby, a
place where we ourselves would feel at home. Our dream was not to build a
community but to build "a community of communities"; a place where every
aspect related to fantasy (whether it be games, books, movies or whatever)
can be talked about by people who share the same passion as you (and we) do.
The result is what you see here on this site. We hope we can become a home
to many souls out there in the world with more than a passing interest in
one the myriad aspects of the fantasy/roleplaying scene. Not only do we offer
each group their own newspage and forum but we also invite you to take part
in our library by writing fantasy stories (a hobby shared by many) or giving
comments on that which has been written by others.
It doesn't stop there though. Also we want your input on our reviews. We'll
always try to bring you objective and impartial reviews and rest assured that
each of us has had extensive experience in the field they review in. However,
in the end it's always one man or woman's opinion and the opinion of other
readers may help to make a better judgement. And who knows? If we like your
style we may invite you on the review team!
So, that's the basic philosophy of FantasyFacts in a nutshell. It's you who
will make the site interesting by interacting with the other users. If you
